এক মঞ্চে ১৪০ হাফেজ — হেমনগরে প্রথমবার বৃহৎ সংবর্ধনা টাঙ্গাইলের গোপালপুর উপজেলার হেমনগর ইউনিয়নে প্রথমবারের মতো বৃহৎ পরিসরে কুরআনের হাফেজদের সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হয়েছে। সেবামূলক ও অরাজনৈতিক সংগঠন আল মুহাসানাহ ছাত্র পরিষদ–এর উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত “হিফজ সম্মাননা ও সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠান–২০২৬” উপলক্ষে সোমবার (২৩ মার্চ) দুপুর থেকে রাত পর্যন্ত হেমনগর সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় মাঠে উৎসবমুখর ও আধ্যাত্মিক পরিবেশের সৃষ্টি হয়।আয়োজকদের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়, পূর্বনির্ধারিত নিবন্ধনের মাধ্যমে ইউনিয়নের বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে অংশ নেওয়া ১৪০ জন কৃতি হাফেজকে অনুষ্ঠানে সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। এক মঞ্চে এত সংখ্যক হাফেজকে সংবর্ধনা দেওয়ার ঘটনা এ অঞ্চলে এটিই প্রথম বলে স্থানীয়রা জানান।অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি টাঙ্গাইল-২ (গোপালপুর–ভূঞাপুর) আসনের সংসদ সদস্য আব্দুস সালাম পিন্টু হাফেজদের হাতে সম্মাননা ক্রেস্ট তুলে দেন। এ সময় উপস্থিত মুসল্লিদের “মাশাআল্লাহ”, “জাযাকাল্লাহ” ও “মারহাবা” ধ্বনিতে মুখর হয়ে ওঠে অনুষ্ঠানস্থল।বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে বক্তব্য দেন টাঙ্গাইল জেলা নূরানী শিক্ষক ফাউন্ডেশনের চেয়ারম্যান শেখ মাহদী হাসান শিবলী। তিনি বলেন, “এ ধরনের সুন্দর ও সময়োপযোগী আয়োজন আরও আগেই হওয়া প্রয়োজন ছিল। অনেক বড়রা যা করতে পারেননি, তা তরুণরা করে দেখিয়েছে। গোপালপুর কেন্দ্রিক আল মুহাসানাহ সংগঠনকে ভবিষ্যতে আরও বড় পরিসরে সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হবে এবং তাদের সব কার্যক্রমের পাশে থাকার প্রতিশ্রুতি আমরা দিচ্ছি।” অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উস্তাজুল হুফফাজ মাওলানা আবু বকর সিদ্দিক (দা.বা.), গোহাটা গোপালপুর কেন্দ্রীয় জামে মসজিদের ইমাম ও খতিব নাজীর সিদ্দিক, জামিয়া নিজামিয়া মজিদপুরের মুহাদ্দিস মাওলানা জয়নুল আবেদীনসহ বিভিন্ন মসজিদের ইমাম-খতিব, মাদরাসার শিক্ষক ও স্থানীয় গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিরা।সংগঠনের সহ-সভাপতি নাঈম আহমেদ বলেন, মানুষের ভালোবাসা ও সহযোগিতাই তাদের পথচলার মূল শক্তি। তিনি ভবিষ্যতেও সমাজকল্যাণমূলক ও দ্বীনি কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত রাখার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন।শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষীদের পক্ষ থেকে বক্তব্য দেন মাসুদ পারভেজ ও সংগঠনের উপদেষ্টা মুফতি শরিফ বিন নূর সাজেদী। তারা তরুণদের এ উদ্যোগের প্রশংসা করে বৃহত্তর পরিসরে কাজ চালিয়ে যাওয়ার আহ্বান জানান।অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন হেমনগর ইউনিয়ন বিএনপির সভাপতি গোলাম রোজ তালুকদার ভিপিসহ বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক সংগঠনের নেতারা।আয়োজকদের ভাষ্য, কুরআনের হাফেজদের সম্মানিত করার মাধ্যমে নতুন প্রজন্মকে দ্বীনি শিক্ষায় উদ্বুদ্ধ করাই এ আয়োজনের মূল লক্ষ্য। স্থানীয়রা এ উদ্যোগকে সময়োপযোগী ও তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ হিসেবে উল্লেখ করেছেন।
আতঙ্কে কেঁপে উঠছে ধর্ষণের শিকার শিশুটি, ঈদ কাটল আইসিইউতে ২৪ মার্চ নির্যাতনের শিকার কুষ্টিয়ার মাদ্রাসার সেই শিশুশিক্ষার্থীর (১০) ঈদ কেটেছে রাজশাহী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের নিবিড় পরিচর্যাকেন্দ্রে (আইসিইউ)। প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্য পরীক্ষায় শিশুটিকে যৌন নির্যাতন করার আলামত পেয়েছেন চিকিৎসকেরা। এ ঘটনায় দেশজুড়ে ব্যাপক ক্ষোভের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।ঈদেও আইসিইউতে শিশু অবস্থা জটিলঈদের আনন্দের দিনটিও কাটছে না নির্যাতিত শিশুটির। রাজশাহী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের আইসিইউতে ভর্তি থাকা এই শিশুটি শারীরিক ও মানসিকভাবে চরম বিপর্যস্ত অবস্থায় দিন কাটাচ্ছে। এক দিনের জন্য শিশুটিকে আইসিইউ থেকে ওসিসিতে নেওয়া হলে অবস্থার অবনতি হয়। দ্রুত তাকে আবার আইসিইউতে ফিরিয়ে আনা হয়। আইসিইউ ইনচার্জ আবু হেনা মোস্তফা কামাল জানান শিশুটির বুকে বড় আঘাত রয়েছে, যে কারণে তার কাশির সঙ্গে রক্ত বের হচ্ছিল। তাকে অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক দেওয়া হচ্ছে। বর্তমানে কাশির সঙ্গে রক্ত আসা বন্ধ হয়েছেবাকিন্তু তার স্বাভাবিক হতে অনেক সময় লাগবে। তিনি আরও জানান শিশুটির চেতনা আছে। তবে পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে তার বিষয়ে কথা বললেই সে আতঙ্কগ্রস্ত হয়ে কেঁপে উঠছে।শিশুটির বাবা জানান, তার মেয়ের শরীরের অবস্থা আরও খারাপ হয়েছে। গায়ে জ্বর। রাতে মাথায় পানি দেওয়ার জন্য তার মাকে ভেতরে ডেকে নেওয়া হয়। শিশুটির মা বলেন কয়েক দিন থেকেই তাঁর মেয়ের জ্বর আসছে। রাতে অনেক জ্বর ছিল। এ জন্য মাথায় পানি দিতে হয়েছে, গা মুছে দিতে হয়েছে। শিশুটি ঘুমাতে পারছিল না।ধর্ষণের স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ সতীচ্ছদ পর্দা ক্ষতিগ্রস্তশিশুটিকে গত ১৬ মার্চ সকালে কুষ্টিয়ার ভেড়ামারার একটি মাদ্রাসা থেকে সংকটাপন্ন অবস্থায় রাজশাহী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। সোমবার শিশুটিকে রাজশাহী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের ওয়ান স্টপ ক্রাইসিস সেন্টারে ভর্তি করা হয়। প্রাথমিক অবস্থায় যৌন নির্যাতনের আলামত পাওয়া গেছে বলে জানান হাসপাতালের মুখপাত্র শংকর কে বিশ্বাস।গাইনি পরীক্ষার প্রতিবেদনে স্পষ্টভাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে শিশুটির সতীচ্ছদ পর্দা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে। চিকিৎসকরা নিশ্চিত হয়েছেন যে শিশুটি যৌন নির্যাতনের শিকার হয়েছে। নিশ্চিতকরণের জন্য ইতিমধ্যে আলামত সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছে।শিশুটির মায়ের ভাষ্য, মেয়েকে ভর্তির পরই তিনি খবর পেয়েছিলেন মাদ্রাসায় শিশুদের নির্যাতন করা হয়। তাই দুই-তিন মাস আগে মেয়ের ভর্তি বাতিল করতে গিয়েছিলেন। কিন্তু মাদ্রাসার পরিচালকের স্ত্রী তাঁকে আশ্বস্ত করেছিলেন যে সেখানেই মেয়ে ভালো থাকবে, আর কোনো ঝামেলা হবে না। আশ্বাস পেয়ে তিনি মেয়েকে রেখে আসেন।গত শুক্রবার সন্ধ্যায় মেয়ের সঙ্গে তাঁর শেষ কথা হয়। মেয়ে জানিয়েছিল ঈদের ছুটিতে তাকে মাদ্রাসা থেকে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য। রোববার মেয়েকে আনতে মাদ্রাসায় গিয়ে তিনি দেখেন মেয়ের অবস্থা সংকটাপন্ন পেট ফুলে গেছে। কোনো এক আঘাতের কারণে বাঁ পাও ফুলে গেছে। এ বিষয়ে তাঁরা তাঁকে কিছুই জানাননি। মেয়েকে নিয়ে হাসপাতালে যেতে চাইলে মাদ্রাসার পরিচালকের স্ত্রী বলেন আপনার মেয়ের কিছুই হয়নি, বাড়িতে নিয়ে যান।৭-৮ মাস আগে মাদ্রাসায় ভর্তি করেছিলেনশিশুমেয়েটিকে সাত-আট মাস আগে কুষ্টিয়ার ভেড়ামারার একটি কওমি মাদ্রাসায় ভর্তি করেছিল পরিবার। ওই মাদ্রাসার নিচতলায় পরিচালক তাঁর পরিবার নিয়ে থাকেন। আর দোতলায় মাদ্রাসার শিশুশিক্ষার্থীদের রাখা হয়। খাওয়াদাওয়ার জন্য তাদের নিচে আনা হয়। নিরাপত্তার নামে এই ব্যবস্থা শেষ পর্যন্ত নির্যাতনের আস্তানায় পরিণত হয়েছিল।৩ জন গ্রেপ্তার দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবিএ ঘটনায় শিশুটির মা ভেড়ামাড়া থানায় মামলা করেন। মামলায় মাদ্রাসার পরিচালক (সুপার) সাইদুর রহমান, তার সহযোগী হিসেবে তাঁর স্ত্রী ও একজন নারী শিক্ষককে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। তবে স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ মূল আসামিরা যাতে পালিয়ে যেতে না পারে সেদিকে নজর রাখতে প্রশাসনের প্রতি আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন তারা।মাদ্রাসা ও ধর্মীয় প্রতিষ্ঠানে শিশুদের ওপর যৌন নির্যাতনের ঘটনা খুব কমই আলোচনায় আসে। অথচ এমন ঘটনা কমছেই না। সম্প্রতি দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে মাদ্রাসাশিক্ষার্থীদের ওপর নির্যাতনের একাধিক ঘটনা সংবাদমাধ্যমে উঠে এসেছে। কিন্তু বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই অভিযোগ দমিয়ে রাখতে প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর নিজস্ব প্রভাব ব্যবহার করা হয়।সংশ্লিষ্ট মহল বলছেন এসব ঘটনায় জড়িতদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করতে হবে। পাশাপাশি ধর্মীয় প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোতে শিশুদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে কঠোর আইন ও মনিটরিং ব্যবস্থা চালু করার দাবি জানিয়েছেন অভিভাবক ও মানবাধিকার সংগঠনগুলো।নির্যাতিত শিশুটির শারীরিক ও মানসিক অবস্থা চিকিৎসকদের বক্তব্য, মায়ের বর্ণনা মামলার বর্তমান অবস্থা এবং গ্রেপ্তারকৃত আসামিদের বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত জানা যাচ্ছে। শিশুটির আইসিইউতে চিকিৎসা চলছে। চিকিৎসকরা জানিয়েছেন মানসিকভাবে সুস্থ হতে তার দীর্ঘ সময় লাগবে। শিশুটির মা জানান তিনি মেয়ের বিচার চান। সমাজের সর্বস্তরে এখন দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবি জোরালো হয়েছে।
টাঙ্গাইলে পুলিশের অভিযানে ১২ জন গ্রেপ্তার, উদ্ধার ইয়াবা ও গাঁজা টাঙ্গাইল, ২৪ মার্চ ২০২৬ টাঙ্গাইল জেলায় অপরাধ দমন ও আইন-শৃঙ্খলা পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে জেলা পুলিশের চলমান বিশেষ অভিযানে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় বিভিন্ন মামলায় ১২ জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। গ্রেপ্তারকৃতদের মধ্যে প্রিভেন্টিভ নিয়মিত মামলা, পরোয়ানাভুক্ত আসামি এবং মাদক ব্যবসায়ী রয়েছে।জেলা পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, পুলিশ সুপার, টাঙ্গাইলের নির্দেশনায় জেলার সকল থানা ও ইউনিটের সমন্বয়ে এ অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়। অভিযানে মাদকবিরোধী কার্যক্রম জোরদারের পাশাপাশি অপরাধীদের আইনের আওতায় আনতে কঠোর অবস্থান গ্রহণ করা হয়।মাদক উদ্ধারের অংশ হিসেবে অভিযানে ৮ পিস ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেট ও ১০০ গ্রাম গাঁজা জব্দ করা হয়েছে। এ সময় ৩ জন মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।পুলিশ জানায় গ্রেপ্তারকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনগত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে এবং অপরাধ নিয়ন্ত্রণে এ ধরনের অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে।জেলা পুলিশের পক্ষ থেকে সাধারণ জনগণকে অপরাধ দমনে তথ্য দিয়ে সহযোগিতা করার আহ্বান জানানো হয়েছে।
টাঙ্গাইলের ঘাটাইলে পারিবারিক বিরোধে পিতাকে হত্যা: পলাতক ছেলে গ্রেফতার টাঙ্গাইলের ঘাটাইল উপজেলায় পারিবারিক বিরোধের জেরে বৃদ্ধ পিতাকে নির্মমভাবে হত্যার ঘটনায় অভিযুক্ত ছেলে মোঃ আসলাম শেখ (৩২) কে গ্রেফতার করেছে ঘাটাইল থানা পুলিশ।গ্রেফতারের পর আসামি আদালতে দোষ স্বীকারোক্তিমূলক জবানবন্দি প্রদান করেছে।উল্লেখ্য, গত ২২ নভেম্বর ২০২৫ তারিখ সকালে ঘাটাইল থানাধীন রসুলপুর ইউনিয়নের রসুলপুর হামকুড়া (চৌরাস্তা) গ্রামে এ মর্মান্তিক ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত আরশেদ আলী (৮০) প্রতিদিনের মতো সেদিনও সকাল আনুমানিক ৯টা ১০ মিনিটে তার বসতবাড়ির পূর্ব পাশে নিজ আবাদি জমিতে রোদ পোহাতে বসেছিলেন। এর আগে থেকেই পারিবারিকভাবে টাকা-পয়সা সংক্রান্ত বিষয় নিয়ে তার ছেলে আসলাম শেখের সঙ্গে বিরোধ চলছিল।ঘটনার দিন সকালে ওই বিরোধের জেরে পিতা-পুত্রের মধ্যে কথা কাটাকাটি হয়। এক পর্যায়ে সকাল আনুমানিক ৯টা ৩০ মিনিটে আসলাম শেখ পূর্ব পরিকল্পিতভাবে বা হঠাৎ উত্তেজিত হয়ে পেছন দিক থেকে এসে প্রায় ৩ ফুট লম্বা বাঁশের গোড়ালি দিয়ে তার পিতার মাথায় পরপর ২-৩টি জোরালো আঘাত করে। এতে আরশেদ আলীর মাথার পেছনে মারাত্মক জখম হয় এবং প্রচুর রক্তক্ষরণ শুরু হলে ঘটনাস্থলেই মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়েন।আহতের চিৎকারে পরিবারের সদস্য ও স্থানীয় লোকজন দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে আসে। পরে গুরুতর আহত অবস্থায় তাকে উদ্ধার করে মধুপুর হাসপাতালে নেওয়ার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হলে সকাল আনুমানিক ১০টা ৩০ মিনিটে পথিমধ্যেই তিনি মৃত্যুবরণ করেন।ঘটনার পরপরই আসামি আসলাম শেখ ঘটনাস্থল থেকে পালিয়ে যায়। এ ঘটনায় নিহতের মেয়ে মোছাঃ আছমা বেগম বাদী হয়ে ঘাটাইল থানায় একটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের করেন (এফআইআর নং-২৬, তারিখ-২২/১১/২০২৫, ধারা-৩০২, পেনাল কোড ১৮৬০)।মামলা দায়েরের পর থেকে পলাতক আসামিকে গ্রেফতারের লক্ষ্যে ঘাটাইল থানা পুলিশ বিভিন্ন স্থানে অভিযান চালিয়ে আসছিল। অবশেষে টাঙ্গাইল জেলার পুলিশ সুপার মুহম্মদ শামসুল আলম সরকার এর দিকনির্দেশনায় এবং গোপালপুর সার্কেলের অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার ফৌজিয়া হাবিব খান এর সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে অফিসার ইনচার্জ ঘাটাইল থানা মোঃ মোকছেদুর রহমান এর নেতৃত্বে একটি চৌকস টিম গঠন করা হয়।উক্ত টিমে মামলার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা ধলাপাড়া পুলিশ ফাঁড়ির এসআই (নিঃ) আল আরাফাত মিঠুনসহ ঘাটাইল থানার এসআই (নিঃ) মোঃ রাজু আহমেদ, এসআই (নিঃ) তাহেরুল ইসলাম, এসআই (নিঃ) ফজলে এলাহীসহ অন্যান্য পুলিশ সদস্য অংশগ্রহণ করেন।পরবর্তীতে যৌথ অভিযানে ২৩ মার্চ ২০২৬ তারিখ রাত ১২টা ৪৫ মিনিটে ঘাটাইল থানাধীন রসুলপুর ইউনিয়নের আমতলা বাজার এলাকা থেকে পলাতক আসামি মোঃ আসলাম শেখ (৩২) কে গ্রেফতার করতে সক্ষম হয় পুলিশ।গ্রেফতারের পর আসামিকে বিজ্ঞ আদালতে প্রেরণ করা হলে তিনি ঘটনার সাথে জড়িত থাকার কথা স্বীকার করে দোষ স্বীকারোক্তিমূলক জবানবন্দি প্রদান করেন।বর্তমানে মামলাটি তদন্তাধীন রয়েছে এবং এ সংক্রান্ত পরবর্তী আইনগত কার্যক্রম প্রক্রিয়াধীন।
এক মঞ্চে ১৪০ হাফেজ — হেমনগরে প্রথমবার বৃহৎ সংবর্ধনা টাঙ্গাইলের গোপালপুর উপজেলার হেমনগর ইউনিয়নে প্রথমবারের মতো বৃহৎ পরিসরে কুরআনের হাফেজদের সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হয়েছে। সেবামূলক ও অরাজনৈতিক সংগঠন আল মুহাসানাহ ছাত্র পরিষদ–এর উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত “হিফজ সম্মাননা ও সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠান–২০২৬” উপলক্ষে সোমবার (২৩ মার্চ) দুপুর থেকে রাত পর্যন্ত হেমনগর সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় মাঠে উৎসবমুখর ও আধ্যাত্মিক পরিবেশের সৃষ্টি হয়।আয়োজকদের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়, পূর্বনির্ধারিত নিবন্ধনের মাধ্যমে ইউনিয়নের বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে অংশ নেওয়া ১৪০ জন কৃতি হাফেজকে অনুষ্ঠানে সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। এক মঞ্চে এত সংখ্যক হাফেজকে সংবর্ধনা দেওয়ার ঘটনা এ অঞ্চলে এটিই প্রথম বলে স্থানীয়রা জানান।অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি টাঙ্গাইল-২ (গোপালপুর–ভূঞাপুর) আসনের সংসদ সদস্য আব্দুস সালাম পিন্টু হাফেজদের হাতে সম্মাননা ক্রেস্ট তুলে দেন। এ সময় উপস্থিত মুসল্লিদের “মাশাআল্লাহ”, “জাযাকাল্লাহ” ও “মারহাবা” ধ্বনিতে মুখর হয়ে ওঠে অনুষ্ঠানস্থল।বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে বক্তব্য দেন টাঙ্গাইল জেলা নূরানী শিক্ষক ফাউন্ডেশনের চেয়ারম্যান শেখ মাহদী হাসান শিবলী। তিনি বলেন, “এ ধরনের সুন্দর ও সময়োপযোগী আয়োজন আরও আগেই হওয়া প্রয়োজন ছিল। অনেক বড়রা যা করতে পারেননি, তা তরুণরা করে দেখিয়েছে। গোপালপুর কেন্দ্রিক আল মুহাসানাহ সংগঠনকে ভবিষ্যতে আরও বড় পরিসরে সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হবে এবং তাদের সব কার্যক্রমের পাশে থাকার প্রতিশ্রুতি আমরা দিচ্ছি।” অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উস্তাজুল হুফফাজ মাওলানা আবু বকর সিদ্দিক (দা.বা.), গোহাটা গোপালপুর কেন্দ্রীয় জামে মসজিদের ইমাম ও খতিব নাজীর সিদ্দিক, জামিয়া নিজামিয়া মজিদপুরের মুহাদ্দিস মাওলানা জয়নুল আবেদীনসহ বিভিন্ন মসজিদের ইমাম-খতিব, মাদরাসার শিক্ষক ও স্থানীয় গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিরা।সংগঠনের সহ-সভাপতি নাঈম আহমেদ বলেন, মানুষের ভালোবাসা ও সহযোগিতাই তাদের পথচলার মূল শক্তি। তিনি ভবিষ্যতেও সমাজকল্যাণমূলক ও দ্বীনি কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত রাখার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন।শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষীদের পক্ষ থেকে বক্তব্য দেন মাসুদ পারভেজ ও সংগঠনের উপদেষ্টা মুফতি শরিফ বিন নূর সাজেদী। তারা তরুণদের এ উদ্যোগের প্রশংসা করে বৃহত্তর পরিসরে কাজ চালিয়ে যাওয়ার আহ্বান জানান।অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন হেমনগর ইউনিয়ন বিএনপির সভাপতি গোলাম রোজ তালুকদার ভিপিসহ বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক সংগঠনের নেতারা।আয়োজকদের ভাষ্য, কুরআনের হাফেজদের সম্মানিত করার মাধ্যমে নতুন প্রজন্মকে দ্বীনি শিক্ষায় উদ্বুদ্ধ করাই এ আয়োজনের মূল লক্ষ্য। স্থানীয়রা এ উদ্যোগকে সময়োপযোগী ও তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ হিসেবে উল্লেখ করেছেন।

জামালপুরে জ্বালানি তেল বিক্রয় তদারকিতে অভিযান, খোলা ডিজেল বিক্রিতে জরিমানা , ২৩ মার্চ ২০২৬ জামালপুর সদর উপজেলা জ্বালানি তেলের মজুদ, বিক্রয় পরিস্থিতি ও সরকারি নির্দেশনা প্রতিপালন নিশ্চিত করতে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের মাধ্যমে বিশেষ অভিযান পরিচালনা করেছে প্রশাসন। সোমবার (২৩ মার্চ) পরিচালিত এ অভিযানে একটি ফিলিং স্টেশন পরিদর্শন এবং অবৈধভাবে খোলা ডিজেল বিক্রির দায়ে এক ব্যক্তিকে জরিমানা করা হয়। অভিযানের অংশ হিসেবে উপজেলার মেসার্স মুমু মিথি ফিলিং স্টেশনে ডিজেল, পেট্রোল ও অকটেনের বিদ্যমান মজুদ সরেজমিনে যাচাই করা হয়। এ সময় জ্বালানি তেলের বিক্রয় কার্যক্রম, মূল্যতালিকা প্রদর্শন এবং বাংলাদেশ পেট্রোলিয়াম কর্পোরেশন (বিপিসি) কর্তৃক প্রণীত নির্দেশনা যথাযথভাবে অনুসরণ করা হচ্ছে কিনা তা খতিয়ে দেখা হয়। সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তারা স্টেশন কর্তৃপক্ষকে নিয়মনীতি মেনে ব্যবসা পরিচালনার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় দিকনির্দেশনা প্রদান করেন।পরে দরিপাড়া বাজার এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে লাল মিয়া নামীয় এক ব্যক্তিকে খোলা অবস্থায় অবৈধভাবে ডিজেল তেল বিক্রয় করতে দেখা যায়। এ অপরাধে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত তাকে ৫,০০০ (পাঁচ হাজার) টাকা অর্থদণ্ড প্রদান করেন। তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে জরিমানা আদায় করা হয় এবং ভবিষ্যতে এ ধরনের কার্যক্রম থেকে বিরত থাকার জন্য সতর্ক করা হয়। অভিযান পরিচালনাকারী কর্মকর্তারা জানান, জ্বালানি তেলের অবৈধ মজুদ, কৃত্রিম সংকট সৃষ্টি ও অনিয়মিত বিক্রয় রোধে নিয়মিতভাবে এ ধরনের অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে। জনস্বার্থে বাজার তদারকি জোরদার করা হয়েছে বলেও তারা উল্লেখ করেন।স্থানীয় সচেতন মহল প্রশাসনের এ উদ্যোগকে স্বাগত জানিয়ে বলেননিয়মিত তদারকি অব্যাহত থাকলে জ্বালানি খাতে শৃঙ্খলা ফিরবে এবং ভোক্তারা ন্যায্য দামে জ্বালানি পেতে সক্ষম
সারা দেশের ন্যায় টাঙ্গাইল জেলাতেও ফিলিং স্টেশনগুলো হঠাৎ কার্যক্রম বন্ধ হয়ে গেলো ২৩ মার্চ ২০২৬সোমবার—সারা দেশের ন্যায় টাঙ্গাইল জেলার ভূঞাপুর উপজেলা-এর ফিলিং স্টেশনগুলোতে বিরাজ করছে এক অস্বাভাবিক নীরবতা যেন কোলাহলপূর্ণ স্থানগুলো মুহূর্তেই পরিণত হয়েছে ভুতুড়ে পরিবেশে। সকাল থেকে বিভিন্ন পেট্রোল পাম্পে শত শতমোটরসাইকেল চালক ও অন্যান্য যানবাহনের দীর্ঘ লাইন লক্ষ্য করা যায়। ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা অপেক্ষার পরও আশানুরূপ জ্বালানি না পেয়ে অনেকেই হতাশা ও ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছেন। এতে করে সাধারণ মানুষের স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাত্রা মারাত্মকভাবে ব্যাহত হচ্ছে।ভুক্তভোগীদের অভিযোগ দীর্ঘ সময় লাইনে দাঁড়িয়েও তেল না পাওয়ায় তাদের চরম ভোগান্তিতে পড়তে হচ্ছে। কেউ কেউ খালি হাতে ফিরে যেতে বাধ্য হচ্ছেন, আবার কেউ জরুরি কাজেও যেতে পারছেন না।ফিলিং স্টেশন সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাদের সাথে কথা বলে জানা যায়, তারা কোনো ধরনের জ্বালানি মজুদ করেননি। ডিপো থেকে সীমিত সরবরাহ পাওয়ায় দ্রুতই তেল শেষ হয়ে যাচ্ছে। তবে সরবরাহ পাওয়া মাত্রই গ্রাহকদের চাহিদা অনুযায়ী জ্বালানি দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে বলে তারা জানান।পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখতে উপজেলা প্রশাসন সক্রিয় ভূমিকা পালন করছে। উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা এবং জাতীয় ভোক্তা অধিকার সংরক্ষণ অধিদপ্তর-এর সমন্বয়ে নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটদের মাধ্যমে দফায় দফায় মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনা করে বিষয়টি নিবিড়ভাবে পর্যবেক্ষণ করা হচ্ছে। প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে আশ্বাস দেওয়া হয়েছে, অতি শীঘ্রই পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক করতে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।উল্লেখ্য, কিছুদিন আগেও যেখানে পেট্রোল পাম্পগুলো ছিল কোলাহলপূর্ণ ও উৎসবমুখর, সেখানে এখন বিরাজ করছে নিস্তব্ধতা। সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে বারবার বলা হচ্ছে দেশে জ্বালানির কোনো সংকট নেই, তবুও মাঠপর্যায়ের এই চিত্র সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে সৃষ্টি করছে হতাশা ও ক্ষোভ। বিশেষ করে ঈদুল ফিতর সামনে রেখে যখন মানুষের মধ্যে থাকার কথা আনন্দ ও উৎসবের আমেজ তখন জ্বালানি সংকটের এই বাস্তবতা অনেকের জন্য সেই আনন্দকে বিষাদে পরিণত করেছে। হাজারো মানুষ পড়েছেন অনিশ্চয়তার মধ্যে—দেখার যেন কেউ নেই, বলারও নেই দেশ যেন চোখের সামনে জ্বালানি সংকটে সম্পূর্ণ অচল হয়ে যাচ্ছে এই দায়ভার কার কে নিবে জানতে চায় দেশের জনগণ!!
নেত্রকোনার দুর্গাপুর উপজেলার প্রাকৃতিক সম্পদ সংরক্ষণ, পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রক্ষা এবং পর্যটন শিল্পের বিকাশকে সামনে রেখে একটি সুদূরপ্রসারী উন্নয়ন পরিকল্পনার কথা জানিয়েছেন ত্রয়োদশ জাতীয় সংসদের মাননীয় ডেপুটি স্পিকার ব্যারিস্টার কায়সার কামাল। তিনি বলেন, দুর্গাপুরের প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য, নদী, পাহাড়ঘেরা জনপদ এবং পর্যটন সম্ভাবনাকে কাজে লাগিয়ে এ অঞ্চলকে দেশের অন্যতম আকর্ষণীয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে পরিণত করা সম্ভব। ব্যারিস্টার কায়সার কামাল বলেন, অপরিকল্পিতভাবে বালু উত্তোলন, নদীর স্বাভাবিক প্রবাহে বাধা এবং পরিবেশের ওপর বিরূপ প্রভাব ফেলার মতো কর্মকাণ্ড কোনোভাবেই গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়। তিনি সতর্ক করে বলেন, দুর্যোগে ভবন ধসে ব্যাপক প্রাণহানির ঝুঁকি রয়েছে। তাই জনগণের নিরাপত্তা, পরিবেশ সুরক্ষা এবং প্রাকৃতিক সম্পদের স্থায়িত্ব নিশ্চিত করতে নদী ও প্রকৃতির ভারসাম্য বজায় রেখে বিজ্ঞানভিত্তিক ও বৈধ উপায়ে বালু উত্তোলনের ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। এতে একদিকে যেমন পরিবেশ রক্ষা পাবে, অন্যদিকে তেমনি অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়নও ত্বরান্বিত হবে। তিনি আরও বলেন, দুর্গাপুরের অপার সম্ভাবনাকে বাস্তবে রূপ দিতে কুল্লাগড়া, দুর্গাপুর সদর, লেংগুরা, খারনৈ এবং রংছাতি—এই পাঁচটি ইউনিয়নকে কেন্দ্র করে একটি আধুনিক ‘ট্যুরিজম হাব’ বা পর্যটন কেন্দ্র গড়ে তোলার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। এই পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়িত হলে স্থানীয় পর্যায়ে ব্যাপক কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি হবে। বিশেষ করে তরুণ সমাজ, ক্ষুদ্র উদ্যোক্তা, পরিবহন খাত, হোটেল-রেস্তোরাঁ ব্যবসা এবং স্থানীয় ক্ষুদ্র-বৃহৎ ব্যবসায়ীরা এর মাধ্যমে সরাসরি উপকৃত হবেন। তিনি আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করে বলেন, দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে পর্যটকরা দুর্গাপুরের নয়নাভিরাম প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে এ অঞ্চলে আসবেন। এর ফলে দুর্গাপুরের অর্থনৈতিক কর্মকাণ্ডে নতুন গতি সঞ্চার হবে। একই সঙ্গে আধুনিক হাসপাতাল, উন্নত শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান, যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা, আবাসন সুবিধা এবং অন্যান্য আনুষঙ্গিক নাগরিক সেবারও প্রসার ঘটবে। ফলে দুর্গাপুর শুধু একটি দর্শনীয় স্থান হিসেবেই নয়, বরং একটি আধুনিক, সম্ভাবনাময় ও অর্থনৈতিকভাবে সমৃদ্ধ জনপদ হিসেবে গড়ে উঠবে। অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নেত্রকোনার অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক (রাজস্ব) সুখময় সরকার, পুলিশ সুপার মো. তরিকুল ইসলাম, দুর্গাপুর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার (ইউএনও) আফরোজা আফসানা এবং বিশিষ্ট চিকিৎসক ও সমাজসেবক ড. দিবালোক সিংহ। এছাড়া অনুষ্ঠানে স্থানীয় প্রশাসনের কর্মকর্তা, রাজনৈতিক নেতৃবৃন্দ, সুশীল সমাজের প্রতিনিধি এবং জেলা ও উপজেলা পর্যায়ে দায়িত্বপালনকারী গণমাধ্যমকর্মীরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সবার উপস্থিতিতে দুর্গাপুরের সম্ভাবনা, পরিবেশবান্ধব উন্নয়ন এবং পর্যটন খাতের বিস্তার নিয়ে আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করা হয়। স্থানীয়দের মতে, পরিকল্পনাগুলো বাস্তবায়িত হলে দুর্গাপুরের আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নে এক নতুন অধ্যায়ের সূচনা হবে। প্রাকৃতিক সম্পদ সংরক্ষণের পাশাপাশি পর্যটন খাতকে বিকশিত করা গেলে এই অঞ্চল শুধু নেত্রকোনাতেই নয়, সারাদেশের কাছে একটি অনন্য মডেল হিসেবে বিবেচিত হতে পারে।
গোপালপুরে ৪৩ মাদ্রাসা ও এতিমখানায় সৌদি সরকারের উপহার খেজুর বিতরণ টাঙ্গাইলের গোপালপুর উপজেলায় সৌদি আরব সরকারের উপহার হিসেবে প্রাপ্ত খেজুর উপজেলার ৪৩টি মাদ্রাসা ও এতিমখানায় বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। পবিত্র রমজান মাস উপলক্ষে মানবিক সহায়তার অংশ হিসেবে এসব খেজুর বিতরণ করা হয়।সোমবার (১৬ মার্চ) দুপুরে গোপালপুর উপজেলা পরিষদ হলরুমে আয়োজিত এক অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে মাদ্রাসা ও এতিমখানার প্রধানদের হাতে খেজুর তুলে দেওয়া হয়। সৌদি সরকারের পাঠানো মোট ২০ কার্টুন খেজুর (প্রায় ১৬০ কেজি) বিতরণ কার্যক্রমের উদ্বোধন করেন মৎস্য ও প্রাণিসম্পদ মন্ত্রণালয়ের প্রতিমন্ত্রী সুলতান সালাউদ্দিন টুকু এবং টাঙ্গাইল-২ (গোপালপুর-ভূঞাপুর) আসনের সংসদ সদস্য আব্দুস সালাম পিন্টু।অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে প্রতিমন্ত্রী সুলতান সালাউদ্দিন টুকু বলেন,সৌদি আরব সরকার প্রতিবছর বাংলাদেশের ধর্মীয় শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান ও এতিমখানাগুলোর পাশে দাঁড়াচ্ছে। এই সহায়তা রমজানের পবিত্রতা ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধকে আরও শক্তিশালী করে।”বিশেষ অতিথির বক্তব্যে সংসদ সদস্য আব্দুস সালাম পিন্টু বলেন এ ধরনের সহযোগিতা দরিদ্র ও এতিম শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। ভবিষ্যতেও এ ধরনের সহায়তা কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত থাকবে বলে আমরা আশাবাদী।”অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) মো. জিল্লুর রহমান, গোপালপুর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. আনোয়ার হোসেন, উপজেলা প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন কর্মকর্তা মো. আরিফুল ইসলামসহ উপজেলার বিভিন্ন মাদ্রাসার অধ্যক্ষ ও শিক্ষকবৃন্দ এবং বিএনপির বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ের নেতাকর্মীরা।অনুষ্ঠান শেষে অতিথিরা মাদ্রাসা প্রধানদের হাতে খেজুর তুলে দেন। খেজুর পেয়ে মাদ্রাসা ও এতিমখানার প্রতিনিধিরা সৌদি সরকার ও সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করেন।

" typeof="foaf:Image" fetchpriority="high"> </picture> </div> <div>A member of the Jewish community passes the scene of an arson attack in the Golders Green neighbourhood of north London, on 24 March 2026 (AFP) </div> <div>Off</div> <div><p>An obscure group has claimed responsibility for an arson attack on Jewish charity-owned ambulances in London.</p> <p>The Metropolitan Police said on Monday evening it was investigating the claim posted online by a group which called itself Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (Hayi) - The Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand.</p> <p>Met Police chief Mark Rowley <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg9l87e4wyo">said</a> there had been a “rapid growth” of Iranian state threats in recent years, but added that it was “too early” to attribute the attack to Iran.</p> <p>But the Israeli government has said Hayi is linked to Iran.</p> <p>What do we know about the group, which only surfaced publicly earlier this month?</p><div><div> <div> <!-- responsive --> <ins data-ad-client="ca-pub-6114695881218027" data-ad-slot="8690493793" data-ad-format="horizontal" data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins> </div> </div> </div> <p>In the early hours of Monday, four ambulances owned by the Jewish charity Hatzola were <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg9l87e4wyo">set ablaze</a> in the car park of Machzike Hadath Synagogue in London’s Golders Green area, triggering explosions of several gas canisters onboard the vehicles. There were no casualties.</p> <p>The Met said the attack was being investigated by counter-terrorism detectives and treated as an antisemitic hate crime.</p> <p>Hayi appears to have first surfaced online on 9 March and has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks across Europe this month.</p> <p>It took responsibility for the London arson attack via a Telegram account within hours of the incident.</p> <p>Middle East Eye could not independently verify the group’s claims.</p><div><div> <div> <!-- responsive --> <ins data-ad-client="ca-pub-6114695881218027" data-ad-slot="8690493793" data-ad-format="horizontal" data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins> </div> </div> </div> <p>The Telegram account appears to have been created two days before the London incident, on 21 March.</p> <p>It posted a statement in Hebrew, Arabic and English.</p> <p>An MEE analysis found that two separate AI detection software gave the statement a high likelihood of having been AI-generated. </p> <figure role="group"> <div> <div alt="HAYI's statement posted on Telegram on Monday. (Screengrab)</figcaption> </div> </figure> <p><span><img height="15" role="presentation" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==" title="Click and drag to move" width="15" loading="lazy"></span></p> <p><span><img alt height="15" role="presentation" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==" title="Click and drag to move" width="15" loading="lazy"></span></p> <p><span><img alt height="15" role="presentation" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==" title="Click and drag to move" width="15" loading="lazy"></span>The statement in English included the name “Israel” four times, including one reference to the “Land of Israel” - considered highly unusual for an anti-Zionist Shia group.</p><div><div> <div> <!-- responsive --> <ins data-ad-client="ca-pub-6114695881218027" data-ad-slot="8690493793" data-ad-format="horizontal" data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins> </div> </div> </div> <p>It also referred to Israel’s genocide in Gaza as “the Gaza war”, also considered unusual for such a group.</p> <p>“I think there was an initial AI prompt to give an answer in one of the three languages and then it was machine translated into the other two,” Aymenn Jawad al-Tamimi, an expert on militant groups in Iraq and Syria, told MEE.</p> <h3>Israeli government says group ‘Iran-aligned’</h3> <p>Hayi’s statement said the group targeted the synagogue because its “deepest connection to Israel is through Rabbi Abraham Isaac HaCohen Kook, the first Chief Rabbi of Israel and one of the most influential thinkers of Religious Zionism, who served at this synagogue before immigrating to the Land of Israel.</p> <p>“This historical bond continues to this day, and the synagogue has become one of the main bastions of support for Israel in Britain; so much so that in June 2024, Rishi Sunak, the former British Prime Minister, visited this site amidst the Gaza war to affirm, alongside his expression of solidarity with the Jewish community, his country's unwavering support for Israel”.</p> <p>Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs published a <a href="https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/reports/uk-arson-attack-jewish-ambulance-london-2026-03-23/en/mashlat_Roaring_Lion_uk-arson-attack-jewish-ambulance-london-2026-03-23.pdf">report</a> a few hours after the attack saying that an “Iran-aligned militant group” claimed responsibility via Telegram.</p> <p>It said the attack “aligns with” similar “antisemitic arson incidents across Europe” linked to “the same Iran-aligned network”.</p> <p>The <a href="https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/reports/uk-arson-attack-jewish-ambulance-london-2026-03-23/en/mashlat_Roaring_Lion_uk-arson-attack-jewish-ambulance-london-2026-03-23.pdf">report</a> said it was based on “information received through network monitoring with the assistance of a technological system”.</p> <p>Most mentions of Hayi in the media cited an earlier <a href="https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/reports/special-report-harakat-ashab-al-yamin-al-islamia-2026-03-15/en/mashlat_Roaring_Lion_special-report-harakat-ashab-al-yamin-al-islamia-2026-03-15.pdf">report</a> by the Israeli Ministry for Diaspora Affairs from 15 March.</p> <p>That report’s main sources included a Jerusalem Post <a href="https://www.jpost.com/international/islamic-terrorism/article-890114">story</a>, which said the group is believed to be linked to Iran-backed Shia factions in Iraq, as well as an <a href="https://elmanshar.com/2026/03/14/%D9%85%D9%86-%D9%87%D9%8A-%D8%AD%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%A9-%D8%A3%D8%B5%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%86-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9%D8%9F-%D8%AC%D9%85/">article</a> on an Egyptian news website, and an open-source analyst’s LinkedIn <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/%D7%94%D7%A6%D7%AA%D7%95%D7%AA-%D7%91%D7%AA%D7%99-%D7%94%D7%9B%D7%A0%D7%A1%D7%AA-%D7%91%D7%90%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%A4%D7%94-%D7%94%D7%9E%D7%A1%D7%9C%D7%95%D7%9C-%D7%9E%D7%90%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%90%D7%9F-%D7%95%D7%A2%D7%93-%D7%9C%D7%A0%D7%A2%D7%A8%D7%99-%D7%A0%D7%99%D7%AA%D7%95%D7%97-roy-ben-horin-q9rpf/?trackingId=i%2Bl1204cQoeRGdeNVZl2Tg%3D%3D">post</a>.</p> <h3>Previous activity</h3> <p>There were no known references to Hayi either online or offline until an explosion in front of a synagogue in the Belgian city of Liege on 9 March. There were no casualties. </p> <p>The group claimed responsibility for the attack on Telegram channels “affiliated with groups of the axis of resistance”, according to the Israeli government.</p> <div> <a href="https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-jewish-charity-scrutiny-donations-israeli-soldiers"><img src="https://www.middleeasteye.net/sites/default/files/styles/read_more/public/images-story/gaza-israel-soldiers-18-august-2024-afp.jpg.webp?itok=MZKpJ5Xv" width="400" height="250" alt loading="lazy" typeof="foaf:Image"> </a> <div>UK: Jewish charity under scrutiny over donations for Israeli soldiers</div> <a href="https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-jewish-charity-scrutiny-donations-israeli-soldiers">Read More »</a> </div> <p>A conglomerate Telegram channel for Shia factions in Iraq called Sabereen, which has over a million followers, <a href="https://t.me/SabrenNewss/188430">posted</a> on 11 March: “Groups calling themselves [Hayi] claim responsibility for targeting a Jewish synagogue in Belgium.” </p> <p>Hayi then <a href="https://icct.nl/publication/hybrid-threat-signals-assessing-possible-iranian-involvement-recent-attacks-europe">reportedly</a> claimed responsibility for an attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam on 13 March, an attack on a Jewish school in Amsterdam on 14 March, and another on a commercial centre in the same city two days later.</p> <p>None of these attacks resulted in casualties and all of them targeted Jewish sites.</p> <p>The group has <a href="https://icct.nl/publication/hybrid-threat-signals-assessing-possible-iranian-involvement-recent-attacks-europe">changed</a> its logo over the past few weeks. There is no doubt that access to quality care often falls below standards we expect of each other and our communities.
